Education

I am a high school senior at Bergen County Technical High School, Teterboro, and am currently finished with all my college applications and submissions. I have applied to Rutgers, Purdue, U. Illinois, U. Mich., U. Penn., Georgia Tech, Cornell, Columbia, UC Berkeley/L.A. for chemical engineering and pharmacy majors, and have so far received news from Rutgers, Purdue, and U. Illinois at Urbana Champaign, all accepted for my intended majors along with their honors program. Now, I am waiting for the news from the rest of the schools.

Experience

My strong subjects are math and sciences such as chemistry and scored 800 in both SAT I and SAT II Chem/Math. Furthermore, I have taken AP Calculus AB/BC and AP Chemistry, all in which I received maximum score of 5, and am now currently taking college MATH Level 400 from Syracuse University and Organic Chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University. As for my high school grades, I have received all A and A+. Furthermore, during my junior year, I have competed in a Young Science Achievers Program sponsored by Princeton University by collecting and converting methane gas produced by decomposing fecal matters into a renewable energy; and am now taking an internship program at Bergen County Academy, which involves experimenting Vitamin D to cure Brain Tumor, specifically Glioblastoma. I had experiences tutoring high school students from my school and am confident in my skills to interact with new students and assist them with their math and science courses.

Hobbies

Although my intended major is chemical engineering or pharmacy, my hobbies range from sciences to humanities. I love learning new languages and already I can speak and understand Korean and English, but am furthering my knowledge to Spanish and Japanese. Last summer, I went to Bergen Community College to take the summer Spanish 2 course and received a grade of A; and am now going to New York City every Saturday to learn Japanese. My goal is to become a polyglot and wish to learn Chinese and German next.
